Our company was founded in 2019. The owner began working in nursing homes at just 15 years old. While attending DePaul University, he gained hands-on experience in various roles, including janitor, activity aide, receptionist, and marketing assistant. At just 24, Patrick earned his Administrator’s license and quickly began making an impact in the healthcare industry. Ten years later, he was entrusted with the oversight of 2,000 nursing home beds across the Chicagoland area. Leveraging this experience, Patrick transitioned into a groundbreaking opportunity—pioneering a Short-Term Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility solely dedicated to returning 100% of its patients safely back to their homes.
By delivering comprehensive medical care, personalized nutrition, and a vigorous exercise program, the facility reshaped expectations for geriatric recovery. This visionary model earned statewide acclaim and multiple awards, highlighting its unwavering dedication to redefining short-term rehabilitation and championing patient-centered outcomes across Illinois.
When COVID emerged, Patrick spent countless hours listening to patients, many of whom expressed their deep desire to receive care at home rather than in a nursing facility, no matter how excellent the services were. Inspired by the timeless words from The Wizard of Oz: “There is no place like home,” he set out on a mission to provide 5-star healthcare services for patients in the comfort of their own homes. That’s when Scales Home Health was born.
